Introduction of section 31

Section’s roles:

• Participation in the recruitment of researchers (review of applications, interviews, eligibility committees).
• Evaluation and career follow-up of researchers.
• Opinions on promotion requests submitted by researchers.
• Advisory role on the creation, renewal, and closure of research units and support structures.
• Analysis of trends in the disciplinary field, resulting in the publication every five years of a “conjuncture report.”
• Expert assessments at the request of the CNRS Ecology & Environment Institute management.
• Participation in HCERES evaluations for the units affiliated with the section.
• We do not participate in the allocation of RIPEC research bonuses or in the selection committees for CNRS Junior Professorship Chairs.
